here’s that guy cheezy who i work with.  i’m not sure how you spell his name.  apparently he was spanked on i love new york 2.  one thing is for sure, though: he is, without a doubt or hyperbole, a better person than the 12 greatest people in the world combined.  as this is a recursive description, he is infinitely great.  i love working next to him and not getting beaten up by him for posting drunken pictures of him on the internet.  love, osha.

this is when i realized he was drunk.

this is after i told him that i may or may not have friends who know who he is.

and that’s it!  i may visit chris greene in new york again this week.  we’re planning on freestyle parcoursing/free running across the ny skyline.  don’t be surprised if you see us jumping off rooftops, diving off bridges, or ricocheting within stairwells.  pictures from the hospital next week…

here are some pictures of me and my group members after we presented our cognitive radio project to our professor.  as can be surmised from the picture, we did well.

goofy.png

this is me acting stupid and wearing the same thing that i always wear.

here’s the same picture, but with me replaced with the guy that took the last picture.

some_guy.png

of course this picture turned out much better since i took it.

don’t worry, pictures of party on saturday.  i promise.

here are some highlights of the past few weeks:

• got a part time job and am currently working at iqresearch.

• turned down research position to create er “smart rooms” that use computer vision, voice recognition, rfid tags, and sensor networks to decide where a particular patient should be sent. i turned it down for a lot of reasons, but mainly because it sounded kind of hokey. who would trust a room with currently unreliable technology to send them to their possible doom? you might as well listen to the scientologists and surround yourself with bananas to get better.

• worked on a cognitive radio project with some team members, lavesh and naveen. here are their pictures:

team_members.png

naveen is on the left, lavesh is on the right. they were very confused as to why i was taking their picture. that’s also my dr. pepper on the table.

for those who are interested, cognitive radios deal with the problem of traffic on the radio spectrum. using software, radios will be able to dynamically adjust their frequencies to not interfere with other rf devices.

• and here are some more pictures that i found on my phone, which i can now send text messages with (yes!).

summer_barbeque.png

2007 summer barbeque. the food was excellent.

2007 birthday meal prepared by amber and kara to prove their sweetness.

by the way, i’m still working on flim. it’s nothing special, but if you’d like to take a look, select the following link: http://eden.rutgers.edu/~ofuangka. now accepting comments.

hello. i have decided to reactivate my facebook account, because i miss the shred of pseudo-social interaction. nothing has happened during hiatus, although i’ve had job offers, job interviews, and actually tried out speed dating. we’re fine, we’re all fine here now, thank you. how are you?

so if you’ve been wondering, i deactivated my facebook account. it might be temporary, but right now i feel better not having it. if any of you would like to chat with me, i’m on gmail pretty constantly at secret.osha@gmail.com. i’d love to hear from you.

This is the last roommate. No comment.

gonna spare you the commentary on my life and instead just put up pictures.  do i know what you want or what?  first, some hardcore nudity!!!

deer

you probably can’t tell by the picture, but i was pretty close to this deer.  they’re just not scared of man here.  there’s a pseudo track nearby my apartment that’s next to the forest, and i pass within a few feet of them.  they just make a mooing type noise and go back to grazing.

statue.png

here’s a bad picture of the rutgers statue at night.  apparently rutgers invented football.  and they decided to play it right next to the computer science building.  some cops eyed me while i was taking this picture.  i think they thought i was gonna steal the statue or something.

so upon chris daley’s recommendation, i’ve decided to put up a blog about my adventures here in the treacherous and exciting world of new jersey. i’ll try to keep these entries brief and to the point so that people won’t get bored reading about the agonizing pain in which i live every day (simpson’s quote).

the drive

  • so tolls in indiana and ohio are really expensive, and the roads suck, which makes me confused as to where the money is going. they have problems with deer jumping onto the highway in ohio, but instead of putting up a fence, they put up an unnecessarily complicated motion sensor system that tells you when the deer is on the highway. heads up!
  • i80 in pennsylvania is pretty. lots of trees and hills and really tall telephone lines. we were driving at night, and it was foggy, and it was twisty, and i felt like i was in silent hill. and in many ways, i was (for those of you who don’t know, for the recent silent hill movie, silent hill is placed in–you guessed it–pennsylvania). someday i’ll go back to hersey park and ride that ski lift that explains how michael jackson loves chocolate.
  • new jersey is completely different from the rest of the united states in that everone drives at exactly the speed limit, and everyone stays in the right lane except to pass. lanes are wider, so you can drive with your eyes closed, and the most common license plates are new jersey, new york, and pennsylvania. however, i’ve seen maybe 3 illinois plates, which isn’t too bad. i have yet to see a personalized plate. i swear, if i ever have money to burn, i’m getting “hadoken”. if that’s taken, maybe “thrillho”.

and that’s enough for now. let me know what you want me to talk about. here’re some pictures of my apartment.

living room

here’s the exciting living area. i’m the only one here (there’s supposed to be 4. we’ll see what happens…)

hallway.jpg

i’m the first door on the left. or, from the bathroom’s perspective, the last door on the right. those two combined? the last door on the left, or 23.

this is the bedroom

here’s my bedroom, with the guitar conspicuously placed. also, that cable across the room is the ethernet cable, which connects to my guitar. in fact, i’m connected to the internet from my guitar right now.
